light for macro?

im starting a sea horse tank. i planning on having different types of macros in the tank. i was wondering if i could use the regular energy saver (day light) bulbs on the tank. im am currently using one of these bulbs(25w gives off light like its a 100w) on my fuge, but the tank i want to use it on is 24" deep. i was wondering if 2 of these bulbs would be ok for the 24" deep?

Some people use them successfully. It may depend on the type of macro, available nutrients, depth, etc.. Try it if its not working then go brighter.
