Light height

Got a t247 on the way for my 40 gallon breeder tank. I was wondering what a good height would be for this light and tank.
I emailed oceanrevive for their opinion as well.

Not the same light as mine (Rapid LED) but I have mine at 12". Ocean Revive website has a coverage area of 36" x 24" @ 12" above the water level.

Set it just high enough that the entire tank bottom is covered in light. Whether that is 6" or 24" isn't an issue. You want as much of the light in the tank and not spilling outside the tank as possible in order to maximize the light for the corals. Less than 6" isn't good as you run the risk of some salt creep.
