light question

I have a rather large toadstool that is at the top of one of my larger peices of live rock, and below that is very plan and empty cause it will steal light from anything under it. Would I be able to grow mushrooms in this area?? And will the do well?

Pics of mushrooms in shade would be nice. (If they can live in shade)

I have some cave like areas in my tank and shrooms grow there just fine -no photos, sorry-

They seem to grow really big and stretch to reach the light so I would say yes, put a few shrooms under your toadstool.
