Light question

I just got a Finnex T5 lighting system and was wondering do I run the white and blue lights during the day or just the white lights? I have an open brain, mush frag and zoa frag.

Run both lights. It provides better coloration of tank species. It will also permit better growth. If you want to simulate dawn/dusk, then power the white lights down and just run the blue lights for one hour or so at the begining and end of your photoperiod.

run them both at the same time if blue as in atinics i like to start them about a hour before the whites and off about a hour after i think it gives everything time to adjust,

Mike, the T5s are great. You made a very good choice with them.

There are also some bulb options available on those fixtures. Most T5 blues are 460nm spectrum, which is a blue/blue crisp color. Coral fluorescents look good under these lamps, but the true actinic 420nm lights look blue/purple and bring out a warmer color. Coral fluorescents radiate under this spectrum. No reason to change bulbs now, but when the time comes, the URI line of T5 just came on the market and I like the warm colors and radiating flourescents that these lamps produce.

Mike, the auction is a cash event. Because the money will have to be divided up at the end of the collection phase. I think others ( I will) may take a check during the sale phase which will take place before the auction.

My twins are 5 years old. My wife is a teacher at La Petite daycare right there on Thornydale. Don't let them fool you I don't call them Typhoon and Tornado for nothin. haha they are good kids just really lovey and attention crazy. Will it be ok if I bring some beer.
