I need some suggestions on a mixed lighting setup. I was thinking of using a mixture of T5 and MH on a 84" x 72" x 30" SPS Tank. The tank is 6" eurobraced with 2 cross braces. The tank is viewable from a 6 foot side and a 7 foot side. I need suggestions on MH wattage and any ideas about layout would be appreciated

although it's a different shape...the current tank of the month has a T5 MH combo...and kinda shows how you would do them...

Ian....I'm coming over for a swim. 800g...I knew it was big but I can't beleive it's 800g. Thats intense.

T5HO not working out for you?? If it's a color thing I would try different bulb combinations. The ATI and geisemann bulbs are really quite good.

You already know about lumenarc's which have good coverage for 3' square foot print. You could try 4 x 400w with a bunch of T5 supplemental lighting. If you are trying to watch power usuage I would think T5 would be the way to go though....but if you want a sure thing MH and T5 is a great combo.

Just curious but how are you getting your flow??
