lighting a 300 reef

just curious about lighting for a 300. its a tenecor acrylic 300 72*32*32. i was mainly wondering about t-5. does anyone use t-5's only on there big tank? i would be curious to see any pics if you do.

That is the key question. Keeping fish is very different than keeping clams and sps, as your current tanks would indicate.

i have a 200 that i keep my large fish in. this tank is going to replace my 75. i have however gotten rid of my sps. i will be keeping mainly softies, primarilly zoas but i will be keeping my squamosa and gigas clams. let me explain a little more to as to my reasoning. obviously with my current tank i do run mh. the only reason i am thinking of loosing them for the 300 is because of the stand and canopy. it is an acrylic stand and canopy from tenecor. i love the looks of it but unfortunatly it has very little clearance. my mhs will not fit in the canopy. i can however load it down with t-5s
