Lighting affecting health?

I have a 15g i want to turn into a nano and my little brother would love to have it in his room. One of the high lights of my other tank is the moon lights and the colors they reveal in coral. My little brother sleeps with a night-light anyway so he really wants the moonlights (probably will let him sleep better anyway). However, my mom wants to know if being exposed to this type of lighting can be harmful to the eyes or skin (it is on the other side of the room so all of it is indirect). Should it make any differences whether blue or white moonlights are used? Have there been any studies on this? What do you think. Also i think it would be a great idea to discuss with other methods of lighting after we get past the moonlights.

Thanks, Elan

Are they standard LED lights? I'm not sure they pose any problems that could not be caused by other types of lighting.
