Ok I think I get it .
In my 150 I have the Glo dual T-5 set up with a day light bulb and a Actinic blue. A dual t-12 one daly light and a 50/50. Is what have running now. Before I had 2 t-5 actinic blues and the 50/50 and daylight t-12. My take wasnt as bright I had more of a blue tone but that was fine with me I ran that set up for about 8 weeks. So this weekend petworld had t-5 actinic blues on sale so I grabed one and tried to put a new one in my glo system something didnt work only one would fire played with it for over and hr and said forget it. So I put the 10k original back in the glo system darn its bright but with the blue tone I noticed that my coralin was starting to flourish yay!! But with the 10k its too bright I noticed bleaching of my coralline my corals love it but coralline is being washed out, So while you can still get T-12's on this planet I order 2 actinic blue's to try and get more of a blue tone and see what happens. What are you all doing ? I noticed at my LFS that the dimmer blue tone tanks have coralline growing out of the tanks they have so much. And on the brighter tanks no coralline just alge and stuff on the rocks.
