I have a 4-5" squamosa clam in my 12 gal nano. He has glown 1" in the past 2-3 months. I want to place him in my 140 because I have to watch the nano so closely. My 140 has a Coralife HQI fixture that has 3x 150w MH and 4x 96w PC. It is 20" to the sand bed. Will there be enough light on the sand bed to support the clam. If it is not is it OK to place the clam on the rock work. Any input would be helpful. Thanks.

it should be fine in the sand but if you have a higher K bulb you may need to place it in the rock's.

Squamosa' are found in the reef(rocks) in the wild, so it will be just fine up in the rocks
