Lighting/DE Bulb HELP

So my 150w DE metal halide bulb is doing something I have never seen. I can flip the switch to turn the halide on and the center of the bulb will turn on. But it won't actually fire up, it just stays the same. I tried another bulb and it does the same thing.

I am not sure if it is a bulb issue since the other bulb was used but basically new. Just wondering if anyone has had this happen or knows what I can do to fix it.

No one has ever had this problem, and knows what to do?
Bummer I guess I may need to look into other lighting options.

Sounds like your ballast is bad, if 2 different bulbs are doing the same thing.

Do you know anybody else that can test one of the two bulbs in there setup?

Sounds like the ballast to me as well.

Yup sounds like the ballast isn't reaching the correct voltage to fire the lamp...new ballast time:thumbsup:
