Lighting Dimmer/Timer

Does anyone know where I can get a timer that would include a light dimmer?

An On/Off timer works but a dimmer would simulate the natural sunset and sunrise more effectively. And it would not shock the fish/coral each time the light goes off.

This depends on what kind of lighting you have, but the quick asnwer is NO.

The long answer is more involved and must take into account your lighting type and brand. A solution may be available (rather expensive) or you may be looking at a DIY project (rather invloved and a high learning curve, not to mention expensive)

If you have multiple cords you could run your actinic for half an hour before and after your other lights come on. Just use multiple timers, they can be less expensive than a system that incorporates diming.

You could try this, I'm thingking about getting one of these, this way i dont have multiple timers and only 2 powerstrips coming out of the wall... http://www.marinedepot.com/md_viewItem.asp?idproduct=SE1171

EDIT just saw this so now i dont know--"Day & night time outlets turn on & off alternately. They cannot be programmed independently of each other" so im going out on a limb I doubt you can program each socket.
