I have a 16gallon Nuvo Aquarium. The lighting is the stock lighting (which I like) that came with it, 2x8watts (so 16watts) LED 10k and 14k. The guy at the LFS told me I could keep pretty much whatever I want in there, which I am obviously skeptical of. I know it's fine for the low light softies, but if I wanted to upgrade the system a little, would it be benefical to pick up a 3rd 8watt LED for a total of 24watts, or would that either be overkill or not make a difference?
There's not much in there right now. Just a pair of clowns and one small mushroom rock (which I just put in yesterday), but I plan to put more in terms of corals. I like the look of the current lighting and don't want to swap it out totally, so I'm just wondering if a 3rd one would make any difference in terms of how well my corals do, even if I just keep softies/lower light corals. Thanks for the input!
