lighting for 20 gallon long?

Im planning a new 20 gallon long reef tank. What lighting would you recommend. The dimensions of the tank are 30.25" long by 12.5" deep by 13" high (http://www.petsmart.com/supplies/aquariums/grreat-choice-20-gallon-glass-aquarium-zid36-16837/cat-36-catid-300065?var_id=36-16837&_t=pfm%3Dsearch).

A 4x24W T5 setup should do you very well. Unless you want to put the dollars in to a T5/ LED combo. Either would do well for most reef systems in a smaller tank like that.

That T5 fixture should work - I didn't link one because there are literally hundreds to choose from. Just make sure it has good bulbs in it.

Im not too experienced with t5 fixtures. Can I put actinic bulbs in a fixture that does not come with them?

Get you a fixture off CL or something and put some nice ATI bulbs in it. I'd go with 2 x Coral Plus and 2 x Blue Plus. If you like more Blue, sub one Coral Plus with AquaBlue Special.

Get a quality fixture, they have the best ballasts and reflectors. Aquaticlife & & ati make very good fixtures.

3x blue + & purple plus will get you a very blue looking tank.
