lighting for 30 gal. cube

I have been all over the web looking for lighting for our future 30 gal. cube. The Sunpod looks nice but I really want some real actinic for the color pop. I prefer the look of VHO actinics to PCs.

the problem is that the tank is only 20" and most fixtures with VHOs are 24". I was looking at the Finnex 23" 150W HQI with 2X24 VHOs. It has adjustable legs and is 23 3/4" long. Do you think it would throw too much light out of the tank on the ends?

Oh yeah, I can't find any posts about Finnex and I just wanted to make certain it is a good product before I order.

Any opinions on either question?

thanks - Laurie

OK, never mind - just got off the phone with Chris at NanoCustoms and they have the Finnex 24" with 2X24 T5s. Even though it is a couple of inches long he told me the bulbs are actually only 22" so wont be too much light spilling out. Also, if I don't like it I can just hang it and catty-corner it a little. I saw a pic where someone else had done that and it didn't look bad plus with a cube it would still give good coverage. We do have to make allowances sometimes, don't we?

I like the Sunpod but I really, really like the actinics of T5 bulbs. Along with the Phoenix 14K MH bulb it should look great.
