Any recommendations. Want to keep cost low and wattage low, but bring out good colors. Please let me know what I should use.

Royal blue leds brought out spectacular (unnatural) highlights in some of my fish and ruined the color in others. Its hit or miss with leds, just like with corals.
The t5 combo i used gave a much more natural appearance.

I am not looking for unnatural. I have received a lot of input for T5. Isn't this excessive for FO? It has been a long time since I used anything other than MH!

Hi John
I ran a 2 bulb Deep Blue HO unit on my 120 fowlr. I had to change out the bulbs and get a couple of ATI's 14k bulbs but I always liked the look and it used very little electricity.

two bulb T5s...one daylight and one 03..or 12 or 14k bulbs will give plenty of light and the blue will make colors pop...probably the most cost effecient and cheapest way to go...

This would be a toss up for me between T5 and PAR38 lamps. The PAR38 lamps should last 7 years, use only 20 watts per bulb and give you the shimmer. The T5 will cost the same up front, need bulbs every 18 to 24 months, cost twice as much in electric but give a better spread and color.
