Lighting for chaeto...

Hi. I plan on getting some chaeto soon. I know most of the basics such as rotate every few days, dose iron every few weeks, etc... but if you want to provide any more helpful tips that'd be great. Anyway, is a 5000k bulb enough? I know that stronger lighting is better (6000k and above), but in 5000k, can chaeto grow and thrive? Thanks.

10k will work, it kinda depends on the depth the particular plant is found, and the strength (wattage) of the bulb itself around 6500k is correct for plants found in relatively shallow water and is pretty close to the light color that we live in.
