Lighting for corner tank

I am going to take over maintenace on a 54gal corner tank and would like to change the lights. It has a 24" fixture with CP bulbs but it just dosen't get enough light in the back area. Can I get some ideas or pictures on how to get better light on the tank.

Thanks
Rich

I assume this is a standard 27x27(sides)? Your best bet is to add a metal halide pendant to the tank IMO. A single 250w pendant would get the whole tank. It will be tough to add anything to what you alread have.

I second Entropy's idea. You can check out this thread to see how someone lit their 92 gal. They did something similar by using a pendant to lite the back.

What I would like to do is try using one of those Lumenarc reflectors and rotate it so that the two sides of the reflectors is running along the sides of the tank. The Lumenarcs are pretty big as they measure 19.5" x 19.5", so that should give me a pretty good lighting area. Perhaps you can try this if you have the time to retrofit something into the canopy.
