Lighting for Montipora

I have heard that these guys are pretty forgiving when it comes to lighting. I have 130wt of PC on 25 gallons. Will they be ok at the top of my tank? I am mostly interesteing in hearing from folks with experience doing something similar. Obviously, I wouldn't begin to dream of acropora or anything like that, so don't worry about that.

I had a 55 gallon with Coralife Compact Flourescents at 260 watts and my Montis (digi and caps) did very well. I had them all at least 5-6'' from top some a few inches. Not quite sure that PC and Compact Flourescents are similar.

yest ... they are the same, so it seems like i have similar lighting to you and I can keep them near the very top? I might give it a try. I found an awesome Monti Cap frag I really want.

The caps I found to grow a bit slower than the digis. I bought an experimental Montipora Capricornus frag from Sea in the City (LFS) here in Orlando and it had a grean, orange and purple cap on it. All were about 1" diameter on the same base. The green is really taking off and all are doing well. They will grow slower(I've read) than if they were under halides. Give them some decent flow areas and they should do fine.

by decent flow, is it ok to have direct flow from a powerhead? I am trying to plan a spot near the top for one.
