lighting for squamosa

hi Guys!

intend to get a squamosa clam... will 2x 39watt t5, 6500k be okie for the squamosa? the distance between the lightings and the clams will be ard 15 inches.... Pls advice.

IMHO, I would not attempt to keep a photosynthetic clam under anything less than metal halide lighting.

No. That's very little light especially for 15" Sorry!

I keep a Squamosa and a Dreasa I my %% gal with 4 55 Watt PC with no problem. They are both growing like mad.

erm...... hw about 4 x 54watt t5? 2 tubes 6500k and 2 tubes 20k? distance from clam to lighting is still abt 15 inch....

Gut feeling is it's just not enough light. 4x55w is much better, but it's still on the 'light' side, no pun intended..
