Lighting Help Needed!

Ok this is kinda the background story.

I had on my tank for bout a year now a Coralife power compact unit that has both the blue and white lights with the leds on it. I recently changed my lighting to a (2) MH 250W 10K pendant. and the LFS told me that i need to have my blue lights from the PC with them. Is this true.

well that is your choice......the "blue" or atinic lights are there on our tanks for us.......not fish or corals

i have (3) MH 175W 15k on my 280 that stand alone and look almost perfect.......
