Lighting Help

Hi im new to this forum names Justin have a 29 gallon tank
and a 60 gallon cube in the process but i purchased a 250 watt aqua medic halide light with 250 ballast this also has a 20,000k light bulb i was wondering this badboy gets hot is there any chance of like breaking when it gets this hot or exploding haha i have never messed with halide lights please let me know if this insane heating is an issue im about to purchase fans for it but if this isnt really a issue ill hold off

It gets really hot, but the glass that comes with the pendant is tempered to accomodate for the high heat... Explosions will not be an issue... :blown:

I mounted some PC fans on top of my and that really draws the heat off of my lights. The other guys are right about the glass and the rest of the set up being built for that amount of heat I just fingured if I could bring down the heat it might help prolong the lfe of stuff. Hope that Helps,
