I'm in the process of changing the lighting in my 24G nanocube right now. I think that the best options for retrofitting extra lighting, without spending a FORTUNE, can be found at nanotuners.com and illuming.com. There are multiple PC and MH fixtures and upgrades that you can choose from. I'm also considering the K-2 Viper from JBJ as a nice, simple MH upgrade. Good luck with it.

I did the 144W upgrade from nanotuners for my 29g biocube. It was a fairly easy install, and the light ouput is great. My only complaint is the fans are super loud. I have not had any heat issues though.

I know you can buy light bulb upgrades, the viper MH would work like drjuice28 said. I changed the fans on my nano. The new ones have higher rpms and are less noisy.

I have seen the Viper light in operation and it is very nice and sleek. I wanted a top on tank as I like the look, and to help keep in some jumpers. I wish there was a T5 kit as that is my prefered lighting. With a single MH bulb, I miss the actinics.

i put the 150w mh,4 24w t-5's ,Current outer orbit 24 in setup on my 29 g bc. i got it for 300 brand new and i cant be more happier. my clams and sps just love it and i really cant hear the fans. my temp doesnt go up but maybe 1 degree also throught a day cycle.

I have the new 70W 14K sunpod and I love it for my 14 gallon bio cube and I know they make a 150 watt so if you want to get more wattage than myself I would go with the 150 watt I think you can get them for 280 for the 150 watt

Where did you get your Sunpod? I looked at Nanotuners for a replacement actinic bulb and they only had replacement hoods with lights. I'm thinking about putting a MH over it instead.
