Lighting Issue Need Help

Ok i have a question my buddy has a 5 feet by 24 x 24 150 gallon and i want to have all types of corals i have 2 x 175 md lights total is 350

is this enough lighting

The guy that cleans his tank saids hes more power the guy that sold him the tanks and lights saids its fine

More light hungry SPS and clams will most likely need to be placed in the top areas of the tank with 175s. Recommendation for 24" deep tanks are 250 watt halides b/c of penetration purposes. You should also think of adding some actinic supplementation using either VHOs or T5HOs.

250's would allow you more flexibility in where you can place your corals.

I have heard that you should have roughly 4 to 5 watts per gallon. Your buddy has a 150 G tank, I believe you should have a min of 600 watts. Good Luck
