Okay, if you have some old MH sitting around, dust them off and sell them to me LOL

I am so confused on whether to go with t5's or MH for the growout tank. I have gone to so many differant web sites and its tough to figure out which would give me best growth.

I am leaning toward MH, but I gotta consider heat and suspending them

On T5 I am leary of growth rate and coverage

I think I will either go with a single 400w in a luminarc (cheapest way to go) and maybe a few 250 pendants, or 2 - 6 bulb T5 units. Just doesnt seem to be enough light IMO but I have never used them before.

Just frustrated with the whole thing. Its the only thing left before I start fragging and I cant get my hands around it.

GRRRRR :mad2: :mad2: :mad2: :mad2:

if you haven't tried t5's yet, time to try it gotta do something different i got pics of mpcarts tank i'll post them if you like

break out of that old shell and get those t5's man what you waitin for, look at pics come on beautiful colors awesome growth you know you want to.

I have a 250 watt retro with 6 month old Iwasaki 6500 k bulb. That ballast will only fire that bulb. Should be great for a growout tank like this. You'll need to get a reflector though. $75.
