Lighting - MH too much

If I want a little mixed reef, mushrooms, zoes and soft corals, is MH lighting too much?

I am looking at a nano, and am considering an HQI lighting, but wonder if T5 is more than enough for a system like this?

T5's would work better (Less heat and energy costs)

If you want the shimmer of the water go with HQI if that really isn't something you are looking for T5's work wonderfull.

its fine.....i have a 250 watts mh on my 20 gallon.

i have a zoa and mushroom dominated tank, its 45 gallons and i went with a 400w halide. so i imagine 150 over yours wouldnt be bad.

LoudProudNPunk, how deep is your 45? Do you have a problem with your mushrooms and zoas bleaching? My mushrooms have to be placed to the side of the tank in order to keep from bleaching from my 400 mh.
