Lighting Needs

I am currently setting up a 10g Nano and i have been looking at clams in the LFS and was wondering if a total of 60w in a 10g would be enough for a clam

i think it depends on the type you want to get but i was told that nothing short of a metal halide would work. i have a 65w PC light on a 10g now and that wasnt enough for the maxima i had.
