I have a 90 gal. reef tank and needing advice on my lighting, I have 2 400w 14k MH, i have 3 48" super actinic fr40t12/vho, and 1 48" actinic white fr40t12/vho. My tank is 48x18x24, is this to much light? i do not want to be limited on what corals i can put in there. any advice would help.

On my 72g I just got 2 JBJ Retro fit MH kits and 2 VHO retro fit kits with a Icecap ballast and I am going to be running 2 super actinics (VHO) and 2 250W MH. I will be able to keep any coral with that lighting.

if i do my math right, thats about 1200 watts, what do you guys (gals) think i should do with what i have?

Are you talking about your light setup or mine, becuase mine is

(2 x 250)w + (2 x 110)w = 720w

Oh and I will also have a little extra per blue LED i end up putting in.

I have a 4' 120 gallon (same depth as your 90) and have 2x250w halides and 2x110w VHO's that I will be using.

The guy I picked the tank up from had 2x400w, 2x110w and 2 ?w t5's. He kept SPS only, and it was beautiful from the pictures I have seen.
