First off my tank is a fish only. I am running Ice cap 660 with 4 48" VHO's. 2-10K and 2-(worn out) actinics. I am planning on replacing the two actinics real soon, but am now wondering if I should go with 50/50 bulbs instead of actinics. Because my tank is so deep it looks good towards the top, but the deeper spots in the tank have a yellowish look, probably because the light penetration isn't strong enough or something or maybe it's the worn out actinics. These bulbs aren't cheap, like all the others, so I don't want to get something I won't like. What effect would 2-10K's and 2-50/50's give me over the actinics?
