lighting question for 300 gallon

I have a custom 10x2x2 tank being built and the manufacturer has recommended 250w 14k MH using 3 pendant fixtures attached in the canopy with Ice Cap fans for ventilation. The tank will be mostly softies and mushrooms. My current tank has PC's with actinics so I have no experience with MH. Will this be enough light or should I add a 4th fixture? Should I add any additional lighting such as actinics or additional PC's. How many hours per day should I run them? Is there anything else I need to be aware of in running MH's?

You will have a few shade spot in the tank. It also depend on which pendant are you planning to use to determine how much coverage you will get.... I'd say the minimum is 5 250w on Lumenarc mini for that size of tank...
