Lighting question

Hello softie lovers, i have a question. Im starting up a 2.5g pico with a small rio powerhead, penguin bio-wheel (used as mini fuge) and a single 18w actinic pc bulb. All water parameters are good. Do you guys believe that under the single pc bulb the softie corals will be ok, or should i upgrade?

Sorry for the stupidity lol, im an NPS guy

I ran (2)-20W coralife screw in PC's over 5 (then a 10) at work and the softies and zoas seemed to do fine. They were 50/50 bulbs, though (not straight actinic). The tank ran for about three years before I brought it home. Nothing eye dazzling with so few ligthing choices, then, it was something to talk about at work, anyway. Have you checked out the powerbrite modules? Not sure what that'd do on a 2.5, but may be worth a look.

You might have trouble with some leathers, but for basic softies...mushrooms, leathers, xenia etc you'd probably be fine. It really depends whether they like the spectrum of the bulb more than the output.
