i am thinking about up grading and wanted to know what i could keep in a 56 gallon (i think) corner tank with my current aqua medic ocean light 250 watt DE mh fixture? could i keep sps, clams?

whats the bigest size tank that this light is good for and i am still able to have som sps (very few)?

a 250 watter over a 56 corner sounds fine. you could keep just about anything.

250watters have a "footspread" of about 2 feet by 2 feet. How deep is the corner tank? I think 250's are fine up to 22-24 inches deep for light penetration all the way down the bottom, but of course PAR and light spectrum have a few minor things to do with that as well.

That light would be a good match for the corner tank. It would not by itself have enough range for a breeder if you want to put the coral all around the tank.
