Lighting question

What is the best setup to include 2 t5 bulbs with my MH setup. I have an icecap ballast that is already hooked up. Can I run t5 on that?

You ideally want a true T5HO ballast, which IceCaps aren't . What model IceCap is it?

I believe its an older one.

from what I am looking at... most places do not differentiate between vho and t5 ballast...

I have ran them before on a 660

I don't even know what type of ballast that is or what exactly to run on it. It came with the tank/stand I purchased

430 is an older model - I'm only familiar with a 440. Sadly the original IceCap is long gone - this ballast likely predates the existence of T5s

Any suggestions on replacing this setup with T5 setup? Ballast.. End caps... Etc.

A LET lighting retrofit is the easiest way to go. You may be able to save some money by piecing it together but be sure to get a high quality ballast and reflector, you can get up to 15% more light with a top tier ballast alone and the reflector can make a bigger difference.
