Lighting recommendations

What are you guys using for lighting on your tanks, that are bright enough for viewing, but dim enough to not encourage any algae growth?

Also, are there any LED spotlights? I was planning on two rock structures (two lights to compliment them) and i wanted a light that made both of them stick out.

there are a few spotlights... I had 2 evil par 30 bulbs over a 40b.. with 2 main islands.. when I reset up a nps tank im just going to run to the auto parts store and use those led strip lights they sell there..

For a non-photo exclusive tank, I really like Ecoxotic Stunner strips.

not sure what type of nps you are thinking of but the lighting is mostly for display. I recently bought a kessil A150w and the shimmer effect I get is stunning.

I've seen someone that used some led light strips from IKEA I think. They were able to turn a knob to adjust the color, and cut them to length also. Clint, do you remember who did this up in MN?

The LED strips are generally 12V - I would get them from ebay instead of ikea.
