Lighting schedule thoughts?

I am thinking about the lighting schedule below and wondered if it was cruel or bad to do this way. I was trying to find a way to enjoy the tank in the morning before work as well as after work inn the evenings.

630am blues on
8am blues off

130pm blues on
230pm whites and blues on

1030pm whites off
1130pm blues off (all lights off til morning)

I don't see your schedule as an issue. The morning light goes off about the time the sun is going to add light into the house anyway. Unless you keep your tank in a very dark room (I knew a guy who kept his living room like a photography darkroom (that's an old reference like record albums, camera film and typewriters).

Personally, I run my lights from 12pm to 12am and then moonlights until 2am. Four of those hours (two on each end) are ramps from 10% to 50% and back, with a one hour ramp up/down to a 6 hour peak at 70% I use the mornings before work to inspect the tank as it sleeps; it's useful for checking pod population and what not.

I run my lights from 7am to 7pm with 3 hours of moonlights till 10pm. I have a 4 hour ramp up, 4 hours full light, and 4 hours ramp down. Seems to work for me.

Thanks for the responses. I nursery ranged to make sure it wasn't bad to turn on blues then have it go back dark
