Lighting - the last resort

Ok, guys I'm stumped.

I have a 34 gallon Solana with a variety of LPS and SPS. Some of my SPS, particularly my acros are all losing color. Specifically california tort and a strawberry shortcake

Water params have been stable and perfect for a while thanks to a triple dosing pump (alk, calc, mag) and religious weekly water changes.

Water change and top off water comes from a new 5 stage RO/DI system with 0 TDS.

Flow is good. Some thought starvation might be the problem so I've started dosing amino acids but that hasn't helped.

Pests have been ruled out.

Temp is kept stable with a Teco-TR5 chiller.

So... I think it must be lighting. I'm currently running a 150 MH light 7 hours a day w/ a 14K phoenix bulb.

I think I must need more power and am contemplating a 250MH setup but I'd hate to drop the money before knowing whether or not that's really the problem.

The question... Would you think a single 150W MH hanging over a 20" deep tank would be sufficient for most SPS or would you expect that it would take more?

Thanks,

Aaron
