Lighting with Aquaforest

Here is a question for those of you running the Aquaforest system with successful SPS growth- what lights are you running?

I have been running the Aquaforest system for just over one year with good results in maintaining water quality, but I cannot keep any SPS alive for more than a couple of months. I'm running the Orphek Atlantik v3 light on a 48" 90 gallon tank.

I keep my alk at 8 and nitrates around 5ppm. My Phosphates are stable at 0.04ppm. Ca is around 430. I also seem to have very little coralline growth. It seems to only grow on the bottom of the rocks. I do water changes every 10 days.

I am running a reactor with zeo stones and carbon. I occasionally add some Aquaforest GFOif my Phosphates creep up.

I think I'm going to try a 8 bulb T5 fixture with ATI bulbs.

Any comments or feed back would be appreciated.

IMO you will have better results using T5 with sps corals. There are some tanks with beautiful sps with led lights... but it is easier to have success in this field with T5.
