Lighting wont light!?

I have a 70w K2 Viper MH that has been going fine for about a month. All of the sudden this morning it wont turn on. I can hear the hum in the ballast, and see the bulb trying to ignight, but it never does.

Is the bulb bad already? Or is it the ballast? Where can I get a new bulb if it is bad? Marine Depot, and Dr Foster Smith dont carrya a 70w 14k bulb like the one that came with it.

Please help!

No, I dont have a spare one. This is my first MH light. I guess I will just have to get one and try.

Can try these bulbs they are only 18.99 but they come from china so shipping will take about 15 days. I have a friend that bought them and the color is excellent.

If it's only a month old go back to the place you bought it from and ask them to sort it out for you.

I bought it from dr foster smith. Do you think they will just send me a new bulb? JBJ wont as there warrenty doesn't cover the bulb.

Thank you so much for the idea!!! I called Dr Foster's, and they warrenty all of there bulbs for 60 days. The lady from the was very apologetic, and said she would get a replacement shipped out ASAP! Good call!!

All I can say is the customer service at Dr Foster Smith is top notch!
