Lighting???

Ok so for the past few weeks i have been researching lighting.
I have gathered roughly:
3-6 Watts per Gallon
20,000 K is good but so is 6,000K
Ulraviolet is both goodad bad.

I am trying to do DIY LED setup. the whole 3-6 Watts doesn't work with LED's because the Lumens are different. Correct? and the LED's don't produce UV that corals need.

I am just curious because i can't find a good thread on what LED's to get. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Basicaly I want to build a complete LED Lighting system. I just need help with knowing and understand LED's more.

there are tons of led build threads on this forum just gotta search around. the most common leds being used now are 3w cree xp-e. if u go to rapidled, they have an amazing selection and great customer support, ask them anything about leds and they will most likely have an answer for you.

What exactly are Cree Bulbs?

Cree 3 watt LEDs. It's what most of use for DIY LED builds. If you are interested in building your own LED setup, check out rapidled.com. They have kits that pretty much include everything you need to build one.
