Lighting

I tried to read the information on lighting:eek2:. I am new to the hobby, most of what everyone is saying goes right over my head:headwally:.
I have 55 gal. tank with two 54w t5's, one white and one blue. I am starting to buy corals. I have 2 green mushrooms, they seem to be doing ok. I am going to buy the very easy corals----beginners----. The green mushrooms is all I have know and they are small. I know I don't have enough lighting. Which should I invest in a 324w, 6 t5's(3 white,3blue) or 216w, 4 t5,s(2 white, 2 blue)? If something else is better I am interested. Make it easy tho, I am walking on new ground here:spin2::spin2:. I know most of this is a matter of opinion. I am interested in hearing what your opinions are:). What are the pink lights for? Is that something I should have or is that for the big kids?
Thank you in advance for any information you can share!

When it comes to corals the more light the better. I would go with the 6 T5 lights. I have a 55 gallon tank with a current USA Nova Extreme Pro light. I use 3 10,000K and 3 Actinic Blue, the pink lights are to help achieve a certain look.

Hope this helps
