Lighting..

Hi everyone!

Acquired an aquarium but during transit, the light broke. It was replaced with a light suitable for fresh water (?!!?) but anyway.

I want to replace it with a reef light that can handle both hard and soft corals down the road...any thoughts on what I should be looking for?

Also wondering about an air circulation recommendations on make, model and optimal placement for the following....

Aquarium is 50" (ish) tall, 31" wide and 12.5" depth

Got a "fancy features" requirement list that you want in this light? (wifi/dimming/sunrise/sunset/storm modes?)
Want LED or fluorescent or metal halide,etc...?
Ok with 6-12 month bulb replacement costs (applies fluorescent/MH only..)
Currently having any heat issues maintaining the tank at a suitable temp?

Ok...so no budjet if long term is going to prevail...would love more features than less...LED would be ideal but if that does not suit my coral needs, I'm open to options...I would prefer not to replace that often...no issues with maintaining heat since it has been set up (3 weeks)

For actual light recomendations LxWxH would give us what we have here. Im unsure if its 50 Tall or 12.5 tall

Are these really your measurements? A tank that is 50" tall (bottom to top) would be a nightmare to clean - you'd have to literally get into the tank to clean the bottom glass - and 12.5" depth (front to back) is really, really skinny. You'd have almost no room for rock or corals.

Ok so obviously the dimensions I have been given are incorrect if you guys are questioning it like this - Will measure for myself and not trust my mother to every watch my fish...update later today!

Alright...real measurements are as follows...

(Staring at the front)

Top to bottom - 22"
Side to side - 30"

(Staring at the side)
Across - 12"

Looking for lighting advice for future hard and/or soft coral...

And these will both reach a bottom depth of 22 inches? Not finding much info on that part...
