Is it ok to put a 24in T5 setup on a 30in tank.? All of my liverock and corals would be directly under the light.

yea why not use what you have.

I do something similar, I have 4' bulbs over my 5' tank. It works fine.

It'll work. The current usa 30" t5 fixture uses 24" bulbs.
