Lighting ?

I have a 10 gallon fuge on a 46 bowfront,the fuge has a hard clear plastic top on it. I have a 28w coralife compact on there for a light, should I be concerned with the light being filtered by the plastic? It seems bright enough but just want any opinions to make sure it's okay.

I think the plastic will reduce the amount of light in to the fuge. It may still be enough for it, but why the top at all? Can't you just remove it?

Not exactly, my fuge is homemade,it used to be a homemade wet/dry filter & I converted it to a fuge. So the plastic top accomidates the hose from my skimmer. I mean I could switch it up & make it work.....

I agree with crsswift70. It will reduce the light but prolly not significant.
