im thinking about switching from 2 250 watt hqi with 2 54watt actinics for a 8X54 watt t5 ho set up i have some sps & lps and softies

i started with t5s but def prefer the halides. Although my t5s were not overdriven and i only had 6 on a 75. Ive seen some very nice t5s especially 8 bulbs that looked awesome. You can grow whatever you want with those t5s.

I switched from T5's to metal halides. I havent had them long enough to say if my growth is any better but heat sure has become an issue. The t5's i had ran cool and the corals had great color.
