What type of lighting you need will depend on what you plan on keeping. If you're planning on keeping only fish, these lights may be ok. If you intend to keep corals as well, these lights will not be powerful enough. There are tons of threads on here discussing every imaginable type of lighting. Try using the search function and read as much as you can.

Those lights are not enough for a 300 gallon tank unless it is fish only which doesn't need much light.

What are you going to keep in the tank?

A few large 400 watt metal halide pendants would be appropriate. 3-4 depending on the dimensions.

I would love to know best the LED options also for the same size tank with just fish and enough to keep the coral line thriving.

LEDs only? I'd go with probably 6 of any of the smaller panel type units (kessil, radion pro, AI hydra52, evergrow d120). I recently saw a 300 gallon deep dimension with 5 reef breeders photon 32 units over it and it had good coverage.
