3 400 mh's 20k vs 10. I have actinic supps
here's some pics of both. The 10k's are to white and make the tank look greenish even with the supps.
The 20 k's make it more soothing in reality it looks less blue than the pics, i'm leaning towards the 20 they are xm's.
Here are the pics these are 2 months old i'm considering new stuff every day ell really every couple of hours. Opinions welcome!

i like the way your tank looks regardless, however i do like the color of the 10k. have you tried 14k, maybe a happy medium between the two

nope I'm hoping that the 20k's will eventually kind of fade out to 16k LOL just got this bulbs and don't feel like another couple of $ just to find out anyways they will need replacement in 8 months or so maybe i'll wait

try the Used equipment section on the board. keep in mind though, all the good deals get scooped up REALL quick.


I really like the look of 20ks compared to the 10k, but youll get ALOT better growth with the 10k.

im going to be running 14k pheonix bulbs with Super actinic supplement, to get around a 20k look, but still decent growth.

20k is my choice - it will grow, mine did - when i moved to 14 k, i missed the 20k to the extent i went back to 20k (xm's)

I hear the 14ks have less par than the 20. I would go with the 20s and be done with it. u wont get as good a par as the 10k's but it looks better
