Lights Out--Emergancy Lights?

Here is a question--Do you keep some amount of light on your tanks with Anemone and non-hosting fish 24-7? I have read that if it is completely dark fish are more likely to stumble into the Anemone and become a nice expensive snack.

Normally, I always have some light in the fish room. If the display lights are off I have "moon" lights unless the covers are off for cooling, in which case I don't. But my sump light is on whenever the display is off, so there is a "glow" in the room anyway. However, if the power goes off, so would the sump lights--(surprise!).

I have looked into emergency lights, which are battery operated lights that get plugged into an outlet and come on whenever the power is off. The industry standard seems to be 90 minutes of light time which must be followed by 24 hours or more of recharge before another full 90 minutes are available. Menards does sell a version that has a choice to use only one of the two emergancy bulbs and promises that you would get about 4 hours of light before the 24 hour charge would be needed.

Our power is rarely out for more than 4 hours, so that is probably good enough. (Not to mention that 4 hours down will cause lots of other problems, the Anemone might not still be alive enough to catch the fish, if they were still alive.) But I am curious--how do other people deal with this possibility, or is it not a real risk? Ideally, I would like a battery light that would stay on for a full 8 hours and then only need 16 to fully recharge and was designed for "constant" (not ocassional) use. I would just plug it into the timer that controls my display lights and it would be on whenever they were off and no problem until the rechargeable battery needed to be replaced. Haven't been able to find such a light though.

Other solutions?

Well there's always a risk whether you have lights or not. Depends on the fish. I think most people just don't worry about it.
