Lights while rock is curing??

I am setting up a new 90 gal Reef tank. I have 130# of Fiji rock coming in, and was wondering how much lighting should I use while it is curing/cycling....I have 2x250MH, and 4x65W actinics. The place that i ordered the rock from said that I should only use the actinics for about 4 hours a day for now, so that i don't "burn" the rock....if that is true, then when should I start my normal lighting cycle? Once I add fish/coral?

Thanks in advance?

you dont really need light...in my opinion while curing rock...unless you want to keep the coraline algae alive i would also add some type of calcium...i would definitly use the lights when you add live stock

there is no need for the light. but if you want to presever the coraline alive, and those color. yes 4 hour should be ok.

you add fish when ammonia is at 0ppm, nitrite 0ppm, nitrate -10ppm

If you are truly 'curing' the rock then I'd leave the lights off. If the rock you are getting is already cured and you are using it to cycle the tank then the light are fine. The coralline will come back either way. No worries there. ;)
