I have recently started to cycle my first reef tank. My question is, how long do I want to run my lights everyday during the cycle and after I'm done with it? I have LED's on my tank, I wasn't sure if that's a need to know.

Unless you have corals on your live rock which would die without light during the cycle, I would leave the lights off. Keeping them on would promote algae growth. Are your LEDs dimmable? If so I ramp up from zero to full light over a 4 hour period, keep it at full intensity for 3 hours and then ramp back down for 4 hours. If your lights are not dimmable, run the blue emitters for about 10-11 hours and the white daylight emitters for 6 hours.

no, they aren't dimmable. So I guess i will just go with the blues on for 10hrs and the whites daylights for 6.
