I'm thinking about starting a saltwater tank it would be a 40 gallon breeder and my question is is there any cheap good lights i would like some low light beginner corals any help would be appreciated thanks

T5's would be fine. I used to run a 6 bulb 36" T5 fixture over my 40b. You could probably get away with a 4 bulb fixture if you only want lower light demanding corals.

The current USA orbit marine (Non pro version) LEDs are fairly cheap and work well for lower light corals.

A single Ocean Revive LLC fixture (either T247 or S026) or the reefbreeders equivalent or any of the Chinese equivalent black boxes work just fine..
