can some tell me a good light cycle that they use thanks

Depends on your lighting fixture(s), but this is mine.

8AM: Actinics ON
10AM: 10000K MH's ON
6PM: 10000K MH's OFF
8PM: Actinics OFF

If I had higher kelvin bulbs I would only run the actinics before and after the halides (if I even had them) as 12000K+ bulbs tend to fluoresce corals enough that actinics aren't all that necessary.

What are you keeping? Soft corals could potentially get by on six or so hours of MH light or T5's; it depends on wattage, par value, tank depth, et cetera.

8:00 AM.....actinics on
8:30 AM.....50/50...1 more actinic & 1 white on
9:00 AM.....full white

5:00 PM.....full white off
5:30 PM.....50/50 off
6:00 PM..... actinics off

This gives the affect of sun up....then sun down
